What a good brand kit includes
A good brand kit has your logo in every version you need, a colour palette with exact codes, one or two fonts, a simple tone of voice, a photo and visual style, and ready templates for the things you make often. It lets anyone create on-brand work without guessing.
Why a brand kit matters
Your brand is the feeling people get every time they see you. When every post, menu, box and website looks and sounds the same, people start to recognise you before they read your name. A brand kit is the rulebook that makes that consistency easy for your team, your printer and any agency you work with.
The essentials
- Logo versions: full logo, a short icon version, and light and dark versions, with clear space and minimum size rules.
- Colour palette: two or three main colours and a few supporting ones, with exact codes for screen and print.
- Fonts: one for headings and one for body text, with sizes for common uses.
- Tone of voice: three words that describe how you sound, with a few do and don't examples.
- Photo and visual style: lighting, colours, framing and the kind of moments you show.
- Templates: social posts, stories, offers, menus or price cards, presentations and letterheads.
The small things that make it premium
- Packaging and label rules, if you sell products.
- A pattern, shape or character that is only yours, like a mascot.
- Motion rules for videos: how the logo appears, transitions and end cards.
- Examples of right and wrong use, so nobody stretches your logo.
Start small, then grow it
A new business doesn't need a 60-page book on day one. Start with logo, colours, fonts and five templates. Add packaging, motion and a full brand book as you grow.
Tell us about your brand and we'll suggest one clear plan.
